Culpeper Baptist Church was originally known as Mt. Pony Baptist Church and was founded in 1774. Although we are a historic Baptist church we have our sights set on following God in the 21st century. We see ourselves as the hands of Jesus, touching hearts. When you come to Culpeper Baptist Church you will find a variety of people. We are an open, friendly community of faith.

We offer an 8:30 AM Contemporary Worship experience. Dress is casual and opportunities for Bible study through our Connection Place groups follow at 9:30 AM.

CBC offers a traditional service at 11 am, featuring worship led by a choir, organ and piano. Steeped in the tradition of the Baptist faith, the service features well-loved hymns and choir anthems that celebrate the faith and adoration we have of our Lord. The Lord's Supper is observed every first Sunday of the month. Whether you have grown-up in the Baptist tradition or are a newcomer, this service will comfort and revive your soul. |
We have a family ministry emphasis for children and families that begin at 11:00 AM. Both children and adults study a virtue of the month. Drama, Bible study and dialogue are part of this family production; it keeps the conversation going all week long.
Our Youth Ministry begins at 7:00 pm on Friday evenings. There are games, music, and a message given by our Youth Minister. Grades 7-12 are welcome to come.
We have a small group for you where you can get to know others as you study God’s word and how it applies to daily living. Most of our Connection Place groups meet on Sunday morning at 9:45. There are select other groups that meet throughout the week for men and women.
