Our purpose is to maintain the artifacts and records we
already have as well as continue to amass objects and
written records of this present day. We want to develop a
plan to educate our church members about our history as well
as make the Heritage Room readily available to them.
Grief Team
The
mission of the Grief team is to provide personal support
to members during the time of a death of a family
member. This includes visits, providing supplies and
supportive literature, and follow up contacts for one
year.
Homebound Team
The
mission of the Homebound team is to minister to members
who are homebound. This includes visits, calls,
providing tapes of worship services and bulletins,
periodicals, quarterly communion and meeting other
identified needs.
Hospital Visitation Team
The mission of the Hospital Visitation Team is
to visit members who are hospitalized, providing
encouragement, prayer and spiritual blessing. Follow up
visits will be made during recovery time at home.
Inreach Team
The mission of the Inreach Team is to identify, and to
reach out to and encourage those members who have become
inactive.
New Member Orientation Team
The mission of the New Member Orientation Team
is to embrace all new members with personal support and
to educate them in the ministries available, and in the
organization and programs of the church.
Outreach Team
The mission of the Outreach Team is to support and
promote the efforts of evangelism to the unchurched in
the community.
Prayer Team
The mission of the Prayer Team is to administer a church
wide prayer chain and support the Prayer Room ministry
during worship services. It will also co-ordinate and
promote programs to enhance the prayer life of the
church life of the church body and its ministries.
Transportation Team
The mission of the Transportation Team is to provide
transportation to members and others who have no other
means to get to doctor appointments, treatments, church
events, etc.
Worship Team
The mission of the Worship Team is to assist the
ministerial staff and worship leaders in the worship
services. Duties include serving communion, greeting,
collection of offering, and praying.
Transportation
Church Bus Team
It is the goal of the church bus transportation team to
provide safe transportation to members of the
congregation who want to spread the gospel of Christ to
others outside of the church. Therefore the church bus
is a tool that allows our members to be more effective
in not only enhancing our own faith, but to represent
ourselves as Christians, to others in need of gods
word.
Hospitality Team
The purpose of the hospitality team is to be in charge
of arrangements for church wide receptions and to act as
gracious hosts and hostesses at any church special
event.
Counting
Team
The purpose of the counting team is to receive the
offerings from the Church Treasurer and to calculate the
totals. We credit the offerings to the designated
account and giver and deposit the funds into the church
bank account. We operate on a rotating basis with at
least 3 members of the team present weekly to ensure
confidentiality and to maintain security and integrity.
MOPS
Ministry ( Mothers of Preschoolers)
The mission of MOPS is to encourage, equip and develop
every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as
a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ.
In simple terms, MOPS helps moms be the best mothers
that they can be. Our team is an outreach ministry,
open to all moms both Christian and non-Christian.
Sunday School Team
The Culpeper Baptist Church Sunday School strives to
develop fully devoted followers of Christ with servant
hands and hearts through Kingdom-focused classes. The
mission of the Sunday school ministry team is to assist
the church leadership in organizing and maintain these
classes in order to support the Great Commission (Mathew
28:18-20).
Property
Team
The mission of the Property tam is to manage the
maintenance of Culpeper Baptist Church to insure that
both members and visitors to our building are able to
worship and fellowship in comfort and safety.
WMU Team
The purpose of the WMU team is to keep missions in the
forefront of the church body and to encourage
participation in missions locally, nationally, and
internationally. Participation can include service on
the mission field along with praying for and giving to
missions.
